Rangers fans stunned by what Sam Lammers did vs Man United
Rangers fans were left stunned as former Ibrox man Sam Lammers found the net in FC Twente’s Europa League clash with Man United.
Twente visited Old Trafford for the first time in their history and came away with a 1-1 draw thanks to Lammers’ 68th-minute strike.
The 27-year-old left Ibrox in the summer after spending just six months in Scotland, having spent the latter half of last season on loan with FC Utrecht.
In his 31 appearances for Rangers, the forward scored just two goals and provided two assists, with the goals coming against Livingston and Dundee.
Now back in Holland, he has already scored four this season, including one away from home against one of England’s biggest clubs, and Gers fans can’t believe what they saw.
After racing through the United defence, Lammers shaped his body to curl the ball into the far corner, before dragging it in at the near-post, deceiving Andre Onana.
It was a show of composure and confidence that was rarely seen during his time at Ibrox, during a spell which was labelled as “terrible”.

Lammers’ performances seem to improve when playing for clubs in the Netherlands, having thrived in spells at both Utrecht and Twente after his dismal Gers spell.
Many have suggested he struggled mentally with the move to Scotland and the weight the Rangers shirt can carry, explaining his poor displays at Ibrox.
Now, though, he is back scoring for his new club, leaving Rangers supporters stunned by his performance at Old Trafford which led them to question whether they are “cursed”.
