Rangers fans tear into Chris Sutton for what he said before Celtic clash – ‘Nasty’
Rangers fans have torn into Chris Sutton for his “nasty” verdict on Celtic’s transfer policy.
Speaking ahead of the Hoops’ 3-1 win against Motherwell on Sunday (25 February), Sutton claimed his former side had the chance to “absolutely bury” Rangers over the last two transfer windows, but failed to do so due to their lacklustre signings.
Celtic have brought underwhelming players to Parkhead across the last eight months including Maik Nawrocki, Marco Tilio, Gustaf Lagerbielke and Hyeok-kyu Kwon – many of whom have struggled to make an impact or have already been shifted out of the club on loan.
Such poor additions have been seen as a major contributing factor to the club’s downfall this season, with Sutton himself admitting that the transfer strategy was not good enough.

However, Rangers fans have taken umbrage with the fact that Sutton seemingly downplayed their club’s ability and squad and hounded him for suggesting the Hoops could have pushed so far ahead of them.
They have taken to social media to mock the Sky Sports pundit, and they are adamant that his verdict is well off the mark.
