'Absolute no brainer' - Rangers fans demand player is axed for clash v Celtic

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to urge Graeme Murty to axe Jason Cummings from the starting line-up for Sunday’s clash against Celtic at Ibrox.

Cummings, 22, scored a hat-trick in his last outing against Falkirk last week, but supporters believe that the former Hibernian forward should be dropped so Jamie Murphy can come back into the side and Alfredo Morelos is started up front on his own.

After arriving on loan from Nottingham Forest in January, Cummings has been in great form but Murty has seen him as second choice behind Morelos in league matches.

The one-time Scotland international has made 10 appearances in all competitions since arriving in Glasgow, scoring five goals in the process.

However the first-teamer has only found the net once in the Premiership and has only earned one start in Scotland’s top-flight.

Now, Rangers fans have been discussing what team Murty should line-up against Celtic this weekend in what promises to be a vital Old Firm derby.

The majority want Cummings axed for the clash, with one saying it’s an “absolute no brainer”.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Morelos has been one of the sensations of the season in Scotland.

The Colombian, who signed for £1million from HJK Helsinki, has made 34 appearances in all competitions and scored 17 goals so it is likely that Murty will pick him to start.

In other Rangers news, fans have demanded the club to sign this “outrageous” international attacker in the summer.
