Rangers first-half XI player ratings v Atletico Mineiro: 4/10 forward plays in bizarre position

Rangers kicked off their Florida Cup campaign in the early hours of Friday when they beat Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro 1-0 at the Orlando City Stadium.
Gers boss Graeme Murty started the game with a mixture of experience and youth as youngsters Serge Atakayi and Aidan Wilson were handed starting places alongside new boys Sean Goss and Jamie Murphy.
Neither side was able to break the deadlock in the first-half with quality chances at a premium.
The Gers showed some flashes of real attacking intent but much of the Ibrox side’s best attacking play came down the right through 18-year-old winger Atakayi.
Graeme Murty made a bold choice in his starting XI by playing Portuguese winger Dalcio at left-back and the on-loan Benfica youngster could have cost his side a goal on a number of occasions.
Despite neither side looking like making the breakthrough, it will undoubtedly prove a worthwhile exercise for Murty’s side as they go into the second-half of the Scottish Premiership campaign.
