Kieran Maguire salutes Rangers amid landmark Ibrox reveal

Rangers’ relationship with Castore is going swimmingly and the club will sell next season’s kit in big numbers.

That is according to finance guru and Football Insider columnist Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively after the club announced the launch of their new home kit on 26th June.

The Castore-produced strip is part of Rangers’ 150th-anniversary celebrations.

It is the second season Rangers have been involved with Castore after signing a £25million multi-year deal in May 2020.

Maguire hailed the relationship between the club and the Liverpool-based sportswear brand and anticipated a high volume of 2021-22 sales.

“On the back of ’55, Rangers fans are steeped in history,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.

“I suspect it’s one of those kits where fans will buy one that they want to wear and one which they’ll want to keep in the original wrapping as a memento to go on the wall.

“The relationship with Castore has survived the initial hiccups. Now, I suspect any Rangers fans that can buy one, and clearly there are some whose financial circumstances will prevent that, will want to.

“The kit is really nice. It will be one of those that fans will want to wear long beyond its release.”

Rangers are also set to open the on-site Edmiston House museum to celebrate their 150th anniversary.

Commercial exec James Bisgrove told the Four Lads Had a Dream podcast on 14th June that he expects the development to raise “seven-figure” profits.
