Rangers have sealed two ‘massive’ late transfer ‘boosts’ after Ibrox development – Whelan
Rangers have qualified for the Europa League – and that will be a “massive boost” in the transfer market and for match-going fans.
So says ex-Scottish Premiership forward Noel Whelan, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Rangers wrapped up qualification on 26 August.
A Covid-hit Rangers beat Armenian side Alashkert 1-0 on aggregate to secure passage to the group stage of the competition.

The Scottish champions have since been drawn alongside Lyon, Sparta Prague and Brondby in Group A.
Rangers have had a modest transfer window and have signed just one player, Juninho Bacuna, on a fee-paying deal.
Fashion Sakala, Nnamdi Ofoborh and John Lundstram meanwhile have signed on free transfers.
Whelan claims that the fact that Gers are now guarenteed European football will be huge for both the fans and the club’s transfer prospects.
“Financially, it’s a massive boost for Rangers,” he told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge.
“After not getting through to the Champions League, they have gone and got the job done.
“For the fans, it’s a massive boost to get European nights at Ibrox again. It’s also massive to get that European revenue coming through the turnstiles.

“When you are trying to recruit players, it’s much easier to get quality when you’re playing in the top competitions.
“If they are going to do any more business, this will definitely help them. They can go into the market and get someone who’s going to improve them.”
