Rangers have already got 'brilliant' Hagi replacement in the building - pundit
Rangers should not sign a replacement for Ianis Hagi after he picked up a long-term injury.
That’s according to former Celtic hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider following a “devastating” update on the attacker.
The attacker took to social media to reveal he had a successful surgery and thanked fans for their well-wishes.
With the January transfer window, Rangers could look to sign a new winger to see them through the season.
However, McAvennie claims the returning Joe Aribo is the answer to the Gers prayers.

“Aribo will be back from AFCON shortly, so I’m not sure they will sign anyone,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Aribo has been brilliant since Van Bronckhorst came in and he will go straight back into the starting XI.
“It’s a devastating blow for Hagi because when he’s fit, he starts. I remember he got injured on the first day of the season after scoring.
“It’s becoming a problem for him. I think in the short-term Rangers will be fine and Aribo will just come in to cover.
“That makes a lot of sense to me. Instead of signing someone in a rush because they didn’t expect to be looking for wingers.
“I can see them making a signing but I think it would be a mistake, to be honest.”
Aribo, 25, has scored three goals in nine appearances under Van Bronckhorst.
Hagi has made 27 appearances in all competitions this season.
