Rangers idol issues ‘huge’ Celtic transfer verdict – ‘they have all the power’

Alan Hutton has claimed Celtic will be heading into next season “in front” of Rangers.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Gers defender said Rangers fans will be worried about the lack of transfers.

On Tuesday (5 July), the Daily Record reported that Celtic are continuing the pursuit of Vinicius Sousza, 23, from Lommel as Schalke and Real Betis join the race for the midfielder.

If the Celts can secure the signature of the Brazilian he would become Ange Postecoglou’s sixth summer signing.

Hutton said it will be unnerving for Gers fans to see the Hoops’ business given their success in the January window.

“I don’t know if Rangers as a team will be worried, but me as a supporter and all the other supporters will be worried.” he told Football Insider’s Charlotte Cohen.

If you look at what Celtic did last season in such a short period of time, the transfers that they got in, how well they adapted to the system and style of play was quite incredible.

So to see Ange Postecoglou adding again and I’m sitting here talking about Rangers and how they’ve got x amount of players going into their last year, of course it’s a worry.

The big thing is Champions League football and winning the title and at this moment in time Celtic are in front because they won it last year and they’ve strengthened. So they’ve got the power at the moment.
