Report: Rangers launch six-figure bid for playmaker as Murty overhaul continues

Rangers have gone back to Hamilton Academical with a second bid for midfielder Greg Docherty, according to a report.
STV, the Scottish media outlet, announced the news on their website that after the Gers had made an initial offer of £350,000 rejected by the SPL side are willing to pay more to get their target.
It is now thought that Graeme Murty and co. have returned to the Accies and increased their bid which is now in excess of £500,000
The Accies midfielder, 21 is a key component in Martin Canning’s side and the Accies have so far shown a reluctance to let go of Docherty who has bagged three goals and added six assists throughout the 2017/18 season.
Football Insider verdict:
Docherty was missing from training last week and was left out of his side’s trip to Motherwell in the Accies 2-0 Scottish Cup defeat amidst all the speculation. It was pointed out that the midfielder had been suffering from an injury but it is questionable as to how true that is. The Gers are clearly keen to make Docherty a Rangers player and it would seem that the 21-year-old has had his head turned by the third placed SPL side. Murty has been busy this transfer window, keen to boost his squad to ensure that they maintain pressure on Celtic at the top of the table and aim for a European spot, and clearly want Docherty to be a part of this.
