Rangers have made a renewed bid of £2.8million plus add-ons for Brighton defender Connor Goldson, according to a report, as Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox revolution steps up a gear.
According to The Fourth Official on Twitter, the Light Blues have made a third bid for the 25-year-old as Gerrard aims to land his fourth summer signing before he officially takes the reins on Friday.
Rangers is back with a third bid for Brighton & Hove defender Connor Goldson. The last bid of £2m was rejected but it now seems #RangersFC has gone back with a third bid for £2.8m including add-ons and incentives.

The defender has fallen further down the pecking order at the AMEX after the Seagulls landed central defender Leon Balogun last week and a move to IBrox for regular game time could appeal to the 25-year-old.
Football Insider verdict:
Hopefully this should get a deal over the line and see the defender head north to put pen-to-paper on a Rangers contract. The Light Blues badly need new defenders after David Bates and Russell Martin moved on at the conclusion of last season. With Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso failing to impress, Gerrard has been left with little option other than adding a number of new faces over the coming weeks. After having two bids rejected for the defender already, the Light Blues have spent far too much time kicking tyres instead of getting deals done and bolstering the squad ahead of Gerrard’s arrival on Friday. The Gers get their season underway on July 12th when they kick off Europa League qualifying and getting signing in long before then would give the Light Blue as much of a chance of qualifying as possible – particularly given Bruno Alves is almost certain to miss the first few games.
