Rangers man issues ‘definite’ Ange Postecoglou claim after Celtic source’s exit reveal – pundit

Alan Hutton has insisted Ange Postecoglou will stick around at Celtic for the “foreseeable future”.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Rangers defender said Postecoglou still has “unfinished business” at Celtic.

On 7 February, Football Insider revealed that the Hoops are confident the 57-year-old will not quit mid-season to join Leeds United or any other Premier League club.

The Australian has been linked with the newly-vacant Leeds post following Monday’s sacking of Jesse Marsch.

But the Celts do not expect to lose Postecoglou at this stage of the season in the same way that Brendan Rodgers up and left for Leicester City mid-campaign.

Postecoglou is on a 12-month rolling contract with the Glasgow giants and they are keen to tie him down to a longer-term deal.

Hutton was full of praise for the manager’s accomplishments in his short time in Glasgow.

He has been outstanding since he has come in to the football club there is no two ways about it,” he told Football Insider.

He has definitely started something. They are going through a lot of changes like personnel and stuff and they are all buying into what he wants.

It has been excellent so far and I think it is still the beginning for him. I do not think he would want to rush away I think he has still got some unfinished business.

Yes the big draw is going to the Premier League and at some stage it could happen. I think he will definitely stick around for the foreseeable future.
