‘Rangers must complete board, transfer and academy overhaul’ – Stewart makes move
Rangers new chief executive Patrick Stewart has been in the role at Ibrox for two months and has so far resisted calls to sack Philippe Clement.
The former Man United interim CEO swiftly kicked off an internal review at the Glasgow giants shortly after taking up the post.
As per The Herald (13 February), Stewart has enlisted New York consultants Sportsology Group to look over operations at Rangers.
Aberdeen’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Pittodrie between 2000 and 2004, had lengthy spells as the chief of Everton and Aston Villa and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has had his say on what Sportsology will find.

Rangers need ‘complete revamp’ of board, academy and recruitment, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness claimed Rangers’ review will find they need new investment and shareholder changes.
Fraser Thornton arrived as the Ibrox club’s chairman in December – shortly after Stewart’s appointment.
Wynesss told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “It’s long overdue, this review at Rangers.
“They need new investment coming in, money coming in – and some shareholder changes.
“That’s where it has to start.
“Away from that, this review will probably tell him that they need to look at the recruitment side, the academy structure – and expand their vision and innovate more on the commercial side.
“I can almost certainly say that is what the consultants will come up with.
“Patrick isn’t silly, but he’ll have to get facts and numbers to work from.
“They really should be suggesting a complete revamp of the strategy at board level, in the academy and in recruitment.
“They’ve got to think outside the box now, instead of doing things the Rangers way.
“Let’s hope they are brave enough to do it.”

Rangers consider four frontrunners for manager job
Manager Philippe Clement is once again under immense sack pressure after a historic low for the Glasgow giants.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (10 February) that Clement is now once again fighting for his job at Ibrox after the Scottish Cup loss against Queen’s Park.
They have already considered potential replacements at Ibrox, with four frontrunners named.
