Gerrard could make Rangers goalkeeper U-turn amid McAllister reveal
Robby McCrorie could be set for an extended role in the Rangers first team following his impressive recent performances.
That is the view of ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after the Ibrox graduate climbed above Allan McGregor and Jon McLaughlin in the pecking order.
Covid-enforced absences meant McCrorie started between the sticks for a second successive match as Rangers beat Celtic 1-0 on Sunday.

It was only his second senior appearance for Rangers after the Europa League play-off second-leg 0-0 draw against Alashkert last week.
“We’ve seen a big change in the young man, I think he feels he belongs now,” assistant manager Gary McAllister told Glasgow Live on 29 August.
Kenny is impressed by what he has seen from the 23-year-old and predicts he may be set to keep his place between the sticks in what would be an overhaul of the established pecking order.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “It just shows how special he is that he’s trained hard and he’s looked after himself.
“You can’t go into a derby match like that unprepared. I like the look of him. He didn’t have a great deal to do but he made some decent saves.
“They deserved the 1-0 win. I like how he is, he’s very professional. He is down the pecking order but things can change very easily.
“If he gets two or three games in net, the manager might have to have a serious re-think. He could end up with a run of games now.”

Victory over Celtic moved Rangers to within one point of Hearts and Hibs at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
They face St. Johnstone after the international break.
