There is every chance that Steven Gerrard could bring at least one or two Liverpool players with him to Rangers this summer, and one of them he has to try and coax to Glasgow is Lazar Markovic.
The 24-year-old Serbia international has had a torrid spell at Anfield and is currently out on loan at Belgian giants Anderlecht, where he has made seven appearances in all competitions after joining them in January.
HLN reporter Pieter-Jan Calcoen has reported on his personal Twitter account that Anderlecht have made a move to sign the Liverpool attacker for next season by contacting both the club and the player about a potential new deal.

However if Gerrard wants to really improve his Rangers squad then he must go out hijack Anderlecht’s bid to sign Markovic, as he is the kind of player who could dominate Scotland next term.
Markovic has rarely had a chance to shine at Liverpool, but he showed at Hull in his loan spell last season they he has a lot of untapped quality that could lead him to be one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership should he move up north.
The Serbian attacker can play on both wings or as he has done for Anderlecht, play in the No 10 role behind a striker, which is a vital position that needs strengthening for the Gers over the summer.
The Daily Star reports that Markovic earns £35,000-a-week at Liverpool, but there’s a chance that he could take a paycut to ensure he gets first team football and if Gerrard looks to offload players like Alfredo Morelos, there could be a bit more money to play around with.
It’s clear that Markovic has no future at Liverpool and with Gerrard set to pull in some big names, there’s every chance that the Serbia international could be their marquee signing.
