Rangers must hijack reported PL approach for lethal finisher who will exit top-flight club
Rangers may find themselves in need of one or two new centre-forwards in the summer with Jason Cummings’ loan coming to an end, Kenny Miller’s contract expiring and the likelihood of Alfredo Morelos attracting more attention from abroad.
That means director of football Mark Allen should be on the look out for new options and if he was to sign anyone, he absolutely must sign Strasbourg forward Stephane Bahoken, who is due to exit the Ligue 1 club when his deal ends in June.
France Football claims that Premier League clubs have approached the one-time Cameroon international ahead of the summer transfer window with Stoke and Swansea said to be eager for a deal.
Aston Villa and Udinese are also said to be keen, but Rangers must jump in and promise Bahoken, 25, European football and a fight for domestic silverware to tempt him to move to Ibrox.
The former Nice striker has already tested himself in Scotland after a short spell on loan at St Mirren in 2013/14.

He did not score a goal in five appearances in the Scottish Premiership, but since moving to Strasbourg in 2014 his form has got better and better every season.
This term, the lethal finisher has managed to score six goals in 14 Ligue 1 starts – an impressive return for a team that has struggled in France’s top-flight.
Surround him with better players and Bahoken could be a real star in the Rangers side for next season and with him being available for free, there’s basically no risk in going out to sign the Cameroonian.
