Rangers news: Agbonlahor issues ‘shock’ Aaron Ramsey warning after ‘weird’ reveal
Aaron Ramsey could be a flop for Rangers if he thinks it is easy and is not prepared to “fight”, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker admitted he found Juventus decision to heavily subsidise Ramsey’s wages “very strange”.
Rangers confirmed yesterday (31 January) the Wales midfielder had moved to Ibrox on loan until the end of the season.
As quoted on the club website, Ross Wilson revealed the agreement is within Rangers’ “normal wage structure”.
Asked for his verdict on how the 31-year-old will get on in Glasgow, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “It’s not going to be easy.
“I don’t want to be the party pooper but a lot of players have gone up to Scotland and think it’s going to be easy but it’s a very tough league, a very demanding league with different conditions especially away from home.
“He better be up for the fight because it’s not an easy, guaranteed success.
“With the players, they’ve got already I think he will do well.
“It makes you think about the owner at Juventus. If he’s on £400,000-a-week, Rangers can probably only pay a maximum of £50,000-a-week, the move seems weird to be honest.
“Since when did clubs do other clubs big favours like that? To let him go when you’re only getting £50,000-a-week in for him seems very strange.

“Maybe it was the best offer Juventus received.
“I think he will do well Ramsey but if he’s not up for the fight and thinks it’s going to be easy he’s going to be in for a shock because it’s a very, very tough league to go into.”
