Kieran Maguire: 'Delighted' Castore here to stay after £25m Rangers deal update
The decision-makers at sportswear brand Castore are “delighted” with the progress of their partnership with Rangers.
So says finance boffin Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest developments in the Rangers-Castore relationship.
In an email sent to supporters, relayed by Rangers News on 28 September, the club provided an update on the under-construction superstore at Ibrox.
The on-site retail outlet is currently being redeveloped in partnership with Castore as part of the Edmiston House project.
Rangers signed with Castore in May 2020 in a deal reported to be worth in the region of £25million over its contract length.
The agreement was described simply as ‘multi-year’ at the time, but Castore’s involvement at Edmiston House would suggest it is here to stay.

And Maguire claimed that the Liverpool-based firm are over the moon with their investment in the Scottish champions.
“Something similar is happening at Newcastle,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“Castore must be delighted with the relationship in both cases. They have got a few high-profile deals crossing the line.
“It will be interesting to see how much progress they do make. The big boys tend to squash newcomers in the market.
“But as for the Rangers-Castore relationship, it is working well for both sides. That’s why they have gone to cement it a bit further with this.“
Castore partnered with Wolves at the start of the season and recently signed a deal with the South African national cricket team.
They have also released a range of commemorative merchandise for Gers’ 150th anniversary this season.
