Rangers player ratings v Hamilton: MOTM is 9/10 in goal bonanza

COMMENT
Rangers overtook Aberdeen in second-place in the Scottish Premiership with a comprehensive 5-3 win over Hamilton on Sunday.
Murty’s side fell behind before roaring back and cutting Accies open time and again as Josh Windass fired a hat-trick against Martin Canning’s side.
Hamilton took an early lead when Greg Docherty failed to clear his lines allowing Darren Lyon to curl a low shot beyond Wes Foderingham after only five minutes.
Jamie Murphy quickly restored parity after getting on the end of Alfredo Morelos’ cross to tap home in the ninth minute as Murty’s side gave a perfect response to going a goal behind.
Windass then fired the Gers into the lead thanks to a massive howler from Hamilton’s Gary Woods.
The 24-year-old fired a shot straight at the Hamilton shot-stopper who somehow managed to palm it into the roof of the net.
Former Rangers winger David Templeton levelled it up again four minutes later with a tidy finish low beyond Foderingham after Russell Martin’s poor clearance went straight to a Hamilton player.
The goals kept flying in and Morelos added his name to the scoresheet within minutes as Rangers once more took the lead after Murphy’s pass.
Windass grabbed his second of the afternoon on 34 minutes when the attacker rounded off a fantastic team move which started deep in the Gers’ half.
Rangers were well in control of the game by now despite Hamilton’s bright start and for Murty’s side it was a case of when – not if – they would score again.
After a fairly tame second-half, the Gers did score again as Windass finished off his hat-trick to make it 9 goals in 5 games and put the seal on a comfortable win for the Ibrox giants with less than 20 minutes to go.
Hamilton pulled one back and finished off the scoring when Dougie Imrie smashed home a penalty following a hand-ball by Russell Martin.
