Rangers player ratings v Hearts: Senior player 8/10 in dazzling display

Rangers eased by Hearts 3-1 at Murrayfield in the Gers’ first game since sacking Pedro Caixinha on Thursday afternoon.

Kenny Miller scored twice on his return to the starting XI after being banished by Caixinha.

Josh Windass was also on the scoresheet for Rangers’ third goal after Kyle Lafferty had given Hearts the lead with a fantastic free-kick in the first-half.

Graeme Murty took charge of the side for the second time this year as caretaker boss after managing them for six games in February and March.

The win takes the Gers back into third place i nthe Scottish Premiership before Motherwell and Hibs meet later on Saturday afternoon.

The Light Blues put in an impressive performance after Caixinha’s sacking and controlled the game for long spells as Hearts welcomed them to their temporary home at Murrayfield.

Next up for Murty’s side are Partick Thistle at Ibrox next weekend as they look to get their season back on track.
