Football Insider rates the Rangers players after they secured a 1-0 Scottish Premiership win agianst Inverness at Ibrox on Christmas Eve.

Wes Foderingham 9 – A number of wonderful saves in between the sticks from the 25-year-old as Inverness’ pacy attack broke through. Best of the lot came in the first half, as he turned Greg Tansey’s effort around the post.

Lee Hodson 6 – Struggled to cope with the pace of Larnell Cole who reached the byline and got a number of shots off at the Gers goal.

Clint Hill 5 – Allowed Lonsana Doumbouya too much room when marking him, as Inverness peppered Foderingham’s goal in the first half. Slightly sluggish, but good enough.

Rob Kiernan 7 – Number of important blocks and headers saved the Gers at the back. Looked composed when in possession.

Lee Wallace 6 – Largely ineffective on the left flank for Mark Warburton’s side, the Gers captain produced a steady display.

Andy Halliday 5 – A number of risky passes from the holding midfielder gave away possession in his own half, but his defence and goalkeeper were on hand to save him.

Jason Holt 6 – Worked very hard in the middle of the park but struggled to have an impact on the game. First touch was poor.

James Tavernier 7 – Goes from strength to strength in the Gers side, despite playing out of position in centre midfield. Kept things simple, but showed pace when in possession. Strong performance.

Martyn Waghorn – 7 Enjoying a run back in the side, target man Waghorn  broke the deadlock with the help of a deflection and looked sharp inside the Inverness penalty area.

Joe Garner – 7 Worked really hard, often popping up inside his own half winning the ball back and launching an attack. Looks classy when in possession, as the fans sung his famous song.

Barrie McKay 7 – At 21, McKay is a serious talent. His first touch was impeccable throughout the match, as he orchestrated the Gers attack from out wide. Should not have been withdrawn.

Kenny Miller (On for McKay, 59 mins) 7
