Rangers ready three more top signings after source’s reveal – expert

Rangers will sign a striker, centre-back and midfielder before the end of the window.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton said Michael Beale’s current signings have been attack-heavy and need to be balanced out.

Beale has already welcomed five new arrivals this summer.

Kieran Dowell, Jack Butland and Dujon Sterling all joined for free following the expiration of their contracts.

Sam Lammers arrives from Atalanta whilst Abdallah Sima has joined on loan from Brighton for the upcoming campaign.

On 5 July, Football Insider revealed that Cyriel Dessers is expected to be announced as a new signing soon, further bolstering Beale’s attacking line for next season.

The Cremonese striker will become the eighth arrival into Ibrox since the new boss took over in November.

As quoted by the Daily Record (1 July), the Light Blues boss said he is still looking to bring in three new signings before the end of the summer window.

When asked where the Ibrox club still need to strengthen, Hutton told Football Insider:I think they will look at centre-half.

I think they need one more in there to compete with the other boys that are there.

With the players he has lost, Steven Davis, Scott Arfield, he is going to need to bring somebody in in midfield.

I think he has gone heavy up front and he is still looking at more. I think he is probably looking at a defender, a number nine and a midfielder.
