‘Rangers make Kieran Dowell exit decision amid Josh Windass transfer news’
Rangers look set to part company with Kieran Dowell amid a major transfer update regarding former Bears star Josh Windass.
Dowell struggled for game time at Ibrox last season and consequently joined Birmingham City on loan in the winter transfer window.
The former Norwich City man helped Blues on their way to the League One title by notching five goals and four assists in 19 appearances in the English third tier.
But Russell Martin has already shown he doesn’t favour Dowell, as Rangers signed fellow attacking midfielder Thelo Aasgaard.

Adding Windass to their squad would see yet another attacking midfielder joining Martin’s ranks, demonstrating that Rangers are intent on facilitating Dowell’s permanent exit before his contract expires next summer.

The Sheffield Wednesday attacker previously shone for the Light Blues, scoring 18 goals in 41 appearances in the 2017/18 season before making a summer move to Wigan Athletic.
His transfer to the Latics did not go to plan, but since joining the South Yorkshire side in 2020, Windass has shown his goalscoring prowess, thriving in both League One and the Championship.
