Rangers star Dujon Sterling brutally trolls Wilfried Nancy after Celtic defeat

Rangers defender Dujon Sterling has taken to social media to poke fun at under-pressure Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy in the wake of their Old Firm derby loss at Parkhead on Saturday.

Nancy has been facing the threat of being sacked for weeks now, and the Old Firm provided him with a huge chance to win Celtic fans over with a victory on home turf.

Rangers beat Celtic 3-1 at Parkhead, however, as Hyun-jun Yang’s opener was followed by a Youssef Chermiti brace and a late Mikey Moore strike for Danny Rohl’s men.

The Frenchman is now surely set to depart Celtic soon, as fans revolt against him and their board, with Gers man Sterling seizing his opportunity to troll online following his side’s win against their arch-rivals.

Sterling posts cryptic image that Nancy was previously hounded for on Instagram

Sterling has struggled with injury issues at Rangers recently, but he made his fourth Premiership start of the season at Parkhead and put in a strong defensive display.

The right-back barely put a foot wrong to help the Gers to all three points against their arch-rivals, and revelled in their win after full-time.

Celtic boss Nancy was lambasted for a post he made on X last month, which depicted a Venn diagram that alluded to people focusing on both things that they can control, and things that matter.

Fans felt as if he was indirectly posting about their criticism of him, and the Hoops manager duly set his profile to private on the site.

Sterling saw the chance to troll Nancy with his own image on his Instagram story after Saturday’s clash, as he posted it without comment just hours after full-time.

Who could replace Nancy at Celtic if he is sacked?

Nancy looks set to depart Celtic soon after such a crushing loss, but it remains to be seen who could replace him after such a short, yet turbulent, spell at the helm.

Part of the reason for many fans’ frustrations is due to the stellar job that interim boss Martin O’Neill was doing following Brendan Rodgers’ resignation, with seven wins from his eight games after returning to the Parkhead dugout.

Celtic supporters want O’Neill back in charge, and he is currently the clear favourite with the bookies to be their next manager at odds of 5/4.

Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen is next up at 5/1, while two former favourites in Robbie Keane and Ange Postecoglou are also believed to be in the running at 11/2 and 7/1 odds respectively.
