Windass reveals delight for one Rangers teammate in win over Partick Thistle

Rangers star Josh Windass believes the Gers “bounced back well” from Saturday’s 2-1 defeat by Hibs by recording a comfortable 2-0 win over Partick Thistle on Tuesday night.
Windass and James Tavernier scored for the Ibrox side as they secured three points to take them closer to second-placed Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership table.
The 24-year-old was largely disappointing in the first-half before improving after the break and putting in an impressive shift as the Gers went up through the gears against Alan Archibald’s side.
Windass also revealed he was delighted to see Andy Halliday back in the side after replacing injured full-back Declan John at half-time of the win.
“Good win tonight and bounced back well from the weekend, good to see Andy H back out there, very good tonight,” Windass said on his personal Twitter account.

Windass’ goal took his tally to ten in 29 appearances for the Light Blues this season before he had a hand in James Tavernier’s strike which sealed the three points.
The attacker was the subject of a number of bids from English Championship sides in the January transfer window but the Ibrox giants rebuffed them in favour of keeping the striker in Glasgow.
The Gers are back in action on Sunday when they face League One high-flyers Ayr United in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup at Somerset Park.
Windass grabbed a hat-trick in the last round against Highland League minnows Fraserburgh and will be hoping to add to that record against Ian McCall’s side.
