Josh Windass jokes that Rangers first teamer is not happy after win v Hearts
Rangers attacker Josh Windass has made light of his poor performance in the 2-0 win over Hearts at Ibrox and that joked if anyone had his shooting boots they should return them to the club’s training ground.
Windass struggled to make any impact on the game after hitting the net nine times in his last five games.
Goals from Jamie Murphy and Russell Martin secured a comfortable win for the Ibrox giants to take to within six points of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.
The 24-year-old also joked first teamer Daniel Candeias wasn’t happy at missing out on a second assist after Windass failed to score when the Portuguese winger set him up
“If someone would return my shooting boots to Murray Park tomorrow that would be great, Daniel Candeias isn’t happy I cost him an assist. What a win,” Windass said on his personal Twitter account.

Windass has been in spectacular form since Graeme Murty took the reins in the wake of Pedro Caixinha’s sacking in October with 14 goals in the 19 games following.
The 24-year-old was handed a new contract by the Gers as a reward for his recent to keep him at Ibrox until 2021 after interest from a number of English Championship sides.
The Gers face St. Johnstone on Tuesday before a Scottish Cup quarter-final clash with Falkirk next weekend.
In other Rangers news, the club have secured an out-of-window deal for a goalkeeper.
