Rangers star might be overly confident, but it makes a refreshing change

COMMENT
Rangers star Jason Cummings arrives at Ibrox with a reputation for being confident in his own abilities but for a chance it makes a pleasant change to have someone at Ibrox who should be able to back their words up.
The former Hibs striker isn’t exactly a shrinking violet off the pitch either and will inject something a little bit different into a Rangers dressing room that is growing in spirit constantly.
When Cummings was at Hibs – and even Nottingham Forest – he was a player who I can only admit to finding nothing short of an annoyance who quickly found a way to get under fans’ collective skin.
Now he’s at Rangers – like any fan – he’s no longer the pantomime villain he once was and it’ll be enjoyable to see Cummings annoy opposing fans in the way he did when he was a Hibs player.
It helps that the striker scored 71 times in 149 appearances for Hibs and has something of a proven track record in Scottish football and isn’t talking the talk before finding out the hard way that he can’t walk the walk – like Joey Barton and countless others before him.
Of course, Cummings will need to find the net regularly for the Light Blues or his antagonism of away fans will quickly come back to haunt him.
In other Rangers news, fans have reacted after this midfield dynamo underwent a medical to complete his switch.
