New Rangers signing Joey Barton took to Twitter to reveal his delight after Celtic were humiliated by Gibraltar minnows Lincoln Red Imps on Tuesday night.
Brendan Rodgers’ new club were beaten 1-0 by the semi-professional side in in the Champions League qualifier clash, which was immediately hailed as one of the worst results in the history of the Scottish giants.
Former Manchester City midfielder Barton could not hide his reaction as the full-time whistle blew, tweeting a series of emojis that revealed he was crying with laughter at the Celtic performance.

The Lincoln Red Imps contained six part-time footballers in their starting eleven, while The Hoops boasted new signing Moussa Dembele who has been recently tipped as the next big French star by none other than Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
In what was Rodgers first match as Celtic boss, many are calling it as the worst result in Celtic’s illustrious history.
However, the Hoops can still turn the tie around and reacg the next qualifying round, as there is a second leg at Celtic Park next Tuesday.
Rangers were promoted to the Scottish Premiership and face Celtic in September in the league for the first time in four years, with many looking to the battle between Barton and The Hoops captain Scott Brown in the middle of the park.
