Rangers strongest XI: Caixinha favourite axed, Scottish Lampard among multiple summer signings
Kenny Miller (central attacking midfield)
Lacks mobility, speed and energy needed to get beyond centre-backs week after week, but, even at the age of 37, Miller remains a key component of Rangers’ strongest XI. Now used in a deep-lying playmaker role, his understanding, awareness and under-rated technical ability make him a force to be reckoned with. He has an innate eye for goal and is the team’s second likeliest source of goals after striker Morelos. His game time should be reduced as the season wears on.
