Rangers tell Jose Cifuentes to find a new club – sources
Rangers have told midfielder Jose Cifuentes that he can find a new club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Aris Thessaloniki have submitted a loan-to-buy offer for the Gers star, but no agreement has been reached yet.
The 25-year-old joined the Scottish giants on a four-year deal in 2023 from Los Angeles FC for an undisclosed fee.
However, Cifuentes has struggled to secure a place in the Rangers team and ended up spending the second half of last season on loan at Cruzeiro.
He made 12 appearances during that spell but seemingly didn’t do enough to convince Rangers to invest in him for the upcoming campaign.
The midfielder has only played 20 times throughout his career at Ibrox Stadium, failing to register a single goal.
Rangers will reinvest after selling Jose Cifuentes
Philippe Clement has made it clear that every player at the club is up for sale this summer for the right price due to Rangers’ financial issues.
The Gers have to sell players to fund any potential new signings this summer, which is why the club are willing to let certain stars go.
A sale for Cifuentes and his removal from the wage bill will bolster Clement’s opportunity to reinvest and strengthen his squad for next season.

One player that the Scottish giants are hoping to sign this summer is Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller.
In other news, Neil Lennon backed to block Albion Rrahmani deal.
