Rangers to accept offers for two star men in late exodus – sources
Rangers will have to sell players before bringing in any new signings with Todd Cantwell and Ianis Hagi both on the transfer list, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that both Cantwell, 26, and Hagi, 25, could still leave the club before transfer deadline day on August 30th.
Both players have been training with and playing for the B team during pre-season and entering the new season as they seek to remain fit for a move away.
There is yet to be an offer for either player but reports are suggesting that Romanian club Rapid Bucharest are pushing to bring Hagi back to his home country after an impressive Euro 2024.
Rangers will accept offers for both players before the 31st August cut-off.
Todd Cantwell and Ianis Hagi could still leave Rangers
Both players had previously been first-team regulars for Rangers but have since fallen out of favour with manager Philippe Clement.
Cantwell made 36 starts for the club last season, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists in the process, but his tumultuous relationship with the fans meant he has been deemed surplus to requirements.

Hagi spent last season on loan at Spanish side Deportivo Alaves but failed to make an impression with just two goals and two assists in 26 appearances.
