Rangers told to accept offers for John Lundstram and Borna Barisic after twist – pundit
Frank McAvennie has told Rangers to sell John Lundstram and Borna Barisic this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker said Michael Beale doesn’t have the ability to rebuild a team the way Ange Postecoglou did at Celtic.
As quoted by The Sun (20 May), Beale said Barisic and Lundstram will use the summer to “weigh up” their options before deciding whether to commit their futures to the Ibrox club.
The Light Blues boss will be keen to avoid ending up in a similar scenario to this summer which sees the departure of five first team assets for free after their contracts expired.
The departing players included Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos who, at one point. could have commanded a big fee.
When asked if Beale has learned from the contract mistakes of the past at Rangers, McAvennie told Football Insider: “If they do not want to stay they have got to sell them,
“Then that is another two that are going out the door. They might do a revamp the same as Ange did but I do not think so.

“I would not want to come and play for Beale. Players do their homework on managers and you would want to play for somebody like Ange.
“Beale has not bee in the game long enough. Some people might want to go and play for Rangers but it will not be because of Beale.“
In other news, Rangers are set to announce new signing as 10 deals lined up.
