Kieran Maguire tells Rangers fans to expect ‘sales’ after Ibrox plan revealed via Sky
Rangers are likely to sell players in order to fund investment in infrastructure at Ibrox and Auchenhowie.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Rangers’ long-term business model.
Stewart Robertson told Sky Sports on Tuesday (15 February) that there are plans to invest in the training base and home ground.

The managing director emphasised that two new state-of-the-art pitches and further investment in the academy were top of the agenda.
The winners of this season’s Scottish Premiership qualify automatically for the Champions League.
European football and a healthy churn of player sales will be vital if Rangers want to revamp their facilities, claims Maguire.
“This is all to do with cash flow,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“With Uefa’s revenue split, 74 per cent goes to the Champions League, 15 per cent goes to the Europa League and 11 per cent to the Conference League.
“Rangers investors want to move away from the position where they have to put money into the club on a regular basis.
“The likes of John Bennet and Stewart Robertson have said they want to move to a more sustainable model.
“To do that, they have got to increase revenues, player development and sales. That allows them to invest in infrastructure.
“If you do that, you get into a virtuous circle. Better facilities mean better identification of talent. You can sell talent further down the line for profit.“

Rangers are in action against Dundee United tomorrow (20 January).
They are coming off the back of a historic 4-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday (17 February).
