Rangers reported January target delivers verdict on transfer speculation

Jon Toral has talked about the continued speculation over his move to Rangers saying that he is flattered but focussed fully on Granada’s next fixture.
The Daily Record reported on Tuesday that the 21-year-old was being linked with a move to Rangers and he could be on his way to the Ibrox as part of a loan agreement, cutting short his stay at Granada.
As speculation increased, with the Scottish publication reporting that Warburton had an agreement in principle with parent club Arsenal, the Daily Record spoke to Toral on Thursday evening. The Arsenal star insisted he was flattered but would not confirm any truth in the rumours.
“When there is interest in you from such a big club then it’s always good but that’s as much as I can say right now,” Toral told the Daily Record.
“It’s not easy to talk about it because I am a Granada player and we have a game on Saturday against Real Madrid so my thoughts are on that. But if it happens, it happens. We’ll see in the next few weeks.”

The on-loan Arsenal midfielder has worked under Mark Warburton before and he excelled during a promotion chase at Brentford in 2014 before joining Birmingham last season.
Toral was named the Championship side’s Player of the Season after an impressive spell and it’s clear Warburton is very keen to bring him to the Ibrox.
The report suggests Warburton flew out to Spain in December to persuade Toral to abandon his loan spell at Granada and join him at Rangers.
The midfielder has appeared in just six games for Granada this season.
In other Rangers news, this is why Toral could be a great signing for Warburton.
