Rangers training ground fears raised after Ryan Kent confession - McLeish
Alex McLeish has suggested the entire Rangers squad will be fearful of picking up an injury in training ahead of their two cup finals next week.
The former Gers boss, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Ibrox stars need to push any concerns out of their minds and “focus on the positives”.
Speaking to Sky Sports (13 May), Ryan Kent confessed the Europa League final against Eintrach Frankfurt is “the biggest game of everybody’s careers” at Rangers.
He insisted the players would “not let the occasion get the better” of them and that they will go into the game with the “same mindset we’ve had throughout the competition”.
However, McLeish insisted there would be some nerves around the squad heading into next week.
McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Listen, the players, in their heads, will be thinking about two finals coming up.

“That will be uppermost in their minds. It will be a countdown and thinking: ‘I can’t wait, hope I don’t get an injury.’
“It’s all about focusing on the positives for everyone because of the magnitude of the tasks they face.
“Nothing they can’t overcome because they’ve already proven that they can. They’ve defeated two German giants and going into the final against another German side.
“They’re also going into the Scottish Cup final against a really upgraded Hearts side, they’ve been fantastic this season.
“It’s really a case of trying to get good sleep. Don’t be lying there, waking in the middle of the night thinking about cup finals. Get your energy levels refilled and do what you’ve been doing the whole season.”
Rangers face Hearts in their final league game of the season on Saturday.
