Rangers TV pundit issues exciting John Souttar verdict after what he saw – ‘incredible’
Alan Hutton has claimed Rangers have secured a “very good signing” in John Souttar after his “incredible” performance in the Scottish Cup final.
The former Gers defender and Rangers TV pundit, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, conceded that the 25-year-old will have to “force his way” into the starting eleven ahead of Connor Goldson, Calvin Bassey, and Leon Balogun.
Souttar played 120 minutes against his future side as Hearts fell to a 2-0 extra-time defeat against Rangers in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park last Saturday (21 May).

The Ibrox club tied up a pre-contract agreement for the centre-back in January.
Souttar is set to join up with his new teammates this summer.
The Scotland international played 33 times for Hearts this season, scoring four goals as the Edinburgh side finished third in the Scottish Premiership.
Hutton conceded it “won’t be easy” for Souttar to skip to the front of the Rangers pecking order.
“I thought he was very good in the cup final,” he told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“When you think about the pressure he must have been under, playing against his future employers and trying to impress.
“It must have been an incredible weight on his shoulders, but he came through it really well, I thought.
“He can get on the ball and drive forward, but he also looks very solid defensively. Rangers look to have brought in a very good signing there.

“It’s up to him whether he becomes first-choice.
“If the likes of Balogun, Bassey and Goldson stick around, he’ll have to force his way in. That won’t be easy.”
