Rangers warned they could fall behind Celtic after new Patterson update today
Rangers cannot afford to lose any more key players as Nathan Patterson is set to quit the club, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Rangers could fall behind Celtic if they lose a couple more stars this month.
An Everton source told Football Insider today (4 January) Patterson has agreed a long-term deal worth £28,000-a-week.

Rangers have accepted a bid worth an initial £12million and it could rise to £16million with add-ons.
The Ibrox club announced losses of £23.5million back in November which the sale of Patterson will help alleviate.
.Asked whether this means they can now keep hold of the likes of Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Joe Aribo, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “They’ve got to be very careful, Rangers.
“Celtic are in and around them in the league, the league is not won yet.
“Rangers cannot start selling all their players because they’ve come a long way with this group of players. You start selling a couple more then where does that leave your team?
“Do you want to go back to how it was for nine years so far away from Celtic? If they sell a couple of players that can easily happen.
“They’ve got to keep hold of them.”

Rangers went into the winter break six points above Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table on a run of nine consecutive victories in the league.
The two sides were due to meet at Parkhead earlier this month (2 January) but the rearranged fixture will take place on the same date next month.
In other news, a second Rangers player has agreed a move to an English club.
