Rangnick revolution underway at Man United after ‘amazing’ Klopp reveal

Ralf Rangnick will kick some Man United players “up the backside” as soon as he gets into Carrington.

The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists some players have been “getting away with murder”.

Man United confirmed the appointment of Rangnick as interim manager until the end of the season on Monday (29 November).

Today (2 December) Sky Sports reported the German has been handed his visa and will attend tonight’s game against Arsenal.

McAvennie insists Rangnick is exactly what Man United’s players need after becoming lax under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“He’s experienced, we know that much,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“But no one had heard of him until a week ago. There is nothing wrong with that.

“Klopp has come out and said some amazing things, he has to be good.

“On paper, he’s what they need. He has loads of experience. The last thing they needed was another Ole.

“From what I gather, you don’t mess with Rangnick. He will run those players hard.

“He will take no rubbish from any of them. That’s what they need.

“Some of the players there have been getting away with murder for too long.

“Rangnick will give them a kick up the backside.”

Man United face Arsenal tonight at Old Trafford and currently sit eighth in the Premier League table.

The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last two games.
