Ray Parlour delivers one-word verdict on Jamie Vardy to Man United move
Ray Parlour has weighed in on whether Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy could join Manchester United.
The veteran has announced that he is leaving the Foxes at the end of the season, when his contract expires, but he is keen on remaining in the Premier League.
Vardy is set to play in his last game for Leicester on Sunday 18 May, when Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men take on a Southampton team who have been relegated back to the Championship alongside the Foxes.
Sunday will mark the former England international’s 500th Leicester outing, while he will reach 200 goals for the East Midlands side if he scores against the Saints.

Parlour thinks Manchester United is a step too far for Vardy
Vardy’s future beyond Leicester is yet to be decided although there is serious interest from Vitor Pereira’s Wolves.
Meanwhile, speaking on talkSPORT [16 May], Sam Matterface asked Ray Parlour: “Hugh Woozencroft said Manchester United should try and get him in for next season, is that a stretch too far?”
Parlour replied: “Probably.”
Man United are in pole position to sign Antoine Semenyo
Parlour is right to outline that Vardy would likely no longer be capable of providing Man United with the sort of service that the Red Devils require.

Appearances | 34 |
Goals | 8 |
Assists | 4 |
There is no doubt that the 38-year-old is a legend who spearheaded Leicester’s miraculous Premier League title triumph in 2015/16.
Vardy should always command great respect for the fact that he climbed the ladder from the lower depths of Non-League to the very top of the English game.
However, after notching just eight Premier League goals for the Foxes this season, the Englishman has shown that he is unlikely to have what it takes to help guide Man United back to the upper echelons of the top-flight next term.
But Ruben Amorim must improve his forward line this summer, as first-choice striker Rasmus Hojlund has scored just four league goals this season.
With that in mind, the Old Trafford giants are leading the race to sign Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, as exclusively revealed by Football Insider.
