'Real coup' - Exclusive: Paul Robinson makes 'World-class' Everton transfer claim
Paul Robinson claims that new Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti will be able to entice “world-class” players to Goodison Park in the transfer window.
The former Tottenham and England goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says that the Italian boss will have contacts and relationships which could see top players joining the Toffees.
Everton confirmed Ancelotti’s arrival on Saturday, the former Chelsea and Napoli boss replacing Marco Silva in the dugout.
With one of the most highly-respected managers in world football now in charge, Robinson claims that the Goodison Park faithful could see some exciting transfer deals if the board release the necessary funds.
“Everton have pulled off a real coup by getting him,” Robinson told Football Insider.
“The thing with getting Ancelotti is not only his knowledge and his experience, it’s his contacts in the game and his reputation in the game will also entice players.

“He’ll have great relationships with players that he’s worked with previously and if he has got money to spend he will be able to entice players of world-class talent to Goodison.”
Everton were very active in the transfer market over the summer, bringing in six new faces as well as signing Andre Gomes on a permanent deal after his loan spell.
However, the likes of Fabian Delph, Jean-Phillipe Gbamin and Moise Kean have all struggled for game time since their arrivals at Goodison Park.
Ancelotti takes over with the Toffees sitting 15th in the Premier League table, four points off the relegation zone and five behind Burnley in 10th.
