Reece James and John Terry react as Chelsea confirm another new signing
Reece James and Chelsea legend John Terry were quick to show their support following the club’s latest signing this window.
The Blues have been extremely active in the pre-Club World Cup transfer market, securing several new additions in time for the tournament.
Chelsea recently confirmed the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town, having activated his £30 million release clause.
The club beat off competition from both Newcastle and Manchester United, who were both ready to make a move for Delap. But the England international is now expected to lead the line for Enzo Maresca’s side in the summer competition.
The club hierarchy are clearly backing the coach who ended the season winning the Conference League and securing Champions League football.
Now, there were plenty of responses as the side have confirmed yet another deal to be ready and join the squad immediately.

Chelsea confirm Mamadou Sarr signing from Strasbourg
Chelsea have announced the signing of defender Mamadou Sarr from partner club Strasbourg in a deal worth £12 million [BBC Sport].
The club confirmed the move in an Instagram post, writing: “Take a seat, Mamadou!”
Plenty of players reacted to the announcement, with club legend Terry, Chelsea captain James and midfielder Moises Caicedo all liking the post.
Sarr enjoyed an impressive season in Ligue 1, helping Strasbourg to a seventh-place finish and a return to European competition, playing alongside fellow Chelsea loanees Andrey Santos and Djordje Petrovic.
The 19-year-old Frenchman has signed an eight-year contract and has been included in the squad for the upcoming Club World Cup.
Chelsea open to Djordje Petrovic sale after Club World Cup omission

Despite a strong campaign back in France, Football Insider has revealed that Chelsea are prepared to sell Petrovic this summer.
Chelsea supporters were initially angered after Petrovic was left out of the Club World Cup squad, but it was later reported that the Serbian goalkeeper himself requested not to be included, with a summer move now expected.
The 25-year-old made 31 Ligue 1 appearances and played a vital role in Strasbourg’s top-flight success alongside Sarr.
However, with Maresca favouring Robert Sanchez between the sticks and Chelsea likely to continue a pursuit for AC Milan’s Mike Maignan, Petrovic’s future at Stamford Bridge appears increasingly uncertain.
