Reece James and Levi Colwill react to Dewsbury-Hall’s message after Chelsea demolition job

Chelsea players were quick to react to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s message following his latest standout performance in the Club World Cup.

Chelsea booked their place in the final eight of the competition after a 4-1 victory over Benfica, though the win didn’t come without its frustrations.

Reece James opened the scoring for the Blues, but the match was briefly halted due to adverse weather conditions that disrupted the flow of play.

Soon after, Angel Di Maria levelled for Benfica with a late penalty, awarded in controversial circumstances. Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett criticised referee Slavko Vincic for the handball decision, arguing that Malo Gusto should never have been penalised.

With the match sent to extra time, Chelsea stepped up when it mattered most. Christopher Nkunku restored the lead before Pedro Neto added a third, and Dewsbury-Hall rounded off the victory with a goal of his own to seal progression to the quarter-finals.

After the game, Dewsbury-Hall posted on social media in a determined and motivated message as the side now prepare for the next round.

Chelsea stars respond to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall amid exit speculation

Dewsbury-Hall posted on Instagram after his display against Benfica, netting his first goal of the tournament.

He left a simple but determined message, saying: “And then there were 8” with a chip emoji, referring to his goal that dinked the goalkeeper.

His post saw plenty of reaction from teammates, with Levi Colwill commenting “lovely” and Moises Caicedo responding with a fire emoji.

Other teammates also showed their support, with club captain James, Liam Delap, and Aston Villa’s Youri Tielemans all liking the post.

Despite the positive atmosphere within the squad, and Dewsbury-Hall working his way into the team, his future at Chelsea remains uncertain.

Football Insider revealed Chelsea are now prepared to lower their asking price for Dewsbury-Hall after failing to agree an exit in the January window, with West Ham among the clubs showing interest.

West Ham had pushed for a loan move for Dewsbury-Hall earlier this year, which was rejected by the Blues, but their stance is expected to change this summer.

Chelsea face Nicolas Jackson exit decision

Another player whose future is under discussion is Nicolas Jackson with rumours linking him away from Stamford Bridge.

Football Insider revealed Chelsea are willing to sell Jackson, with Maresca growing frustrated over Jackson’s inconsistent performances.

The Senegal international was suspended after receiving a red card against Flamengo, but with Liam Delap arriving and Chelsea closing in on a deal for Joao Pedro, Jackson’s exit appears increasingly likely.
