Reece James reacts to Dewsbury-Hall’s ‘final’ message to Chelsea fans

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall shared an upbeat message with Chelsea supporters following their latest European win.

Chelsea secured their place in the Europa Conference League final with a 1-0 second-leg victory over Swedish side Djurgarden, sealing a comprehensive 5-1 aggregate win.

Dewsbury-Hall netted the only goal of the night, producing a brilliant solo run before calmly slotting home—his fourth goal in the competition this season.

It’s been a challenging campaign for the Dewsbury-Hall, drawing criticism from sections of the Chelsea fanbase. Many have questioned his role in the side following a string of inconsistent league displays.

However, the 26-year-old has shown far more composure in Europe, racking up seven goal contributions throughout the tournament.

After the final whistle, Dewsbury-Hall posted a positive message for the fans, celebrating the team’s achievement in booking their place in the final.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall may outlast Enzo Maresca amid Chelsea uncertainty

Dewsbury-Hall shared a celebratory message on Instagram after scoring in Chelsea’s win, writing: “A [Goal] and into the Final. Happy Days!”

His post drew plenty of reactions from teammates, with Reece James and Jadon Sancho among those liking it, while Malo Gusto commented: “My g!”

Despite the positive mood within the squad, his future at the Blues remains uncertain. Chelsea considered lowering their valuation of Dewsbury-Hall after failing to offload him but a move failed to materialise.

However, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Dewsbury-Hall could end up outlasting head coach Enzo Maresca. According to Robinson, the midfielder might reject interest from elsewhere to fight for a regular starting role at Stamford Bridge.

Maresca, meanwhile, continues to face growing pressure despite leading Chelsea to the Europa Conference League final and pushing for a top-five finish. Concerns have been raised about his handling of key players, with the likes of Ben Chilwell and Renato Veiga departing the club after reportedly falling out of favour.

Chelsea face Morgan Rogers stumbling block amid summer move

While the club remain focused on finishing the season strongly both domestically and in Europe, plans for the summer are already underway.

Chelsea have expressed interest in Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, with financial pressures at Villa potentially forcing them into making tough decisions over key players.

However, Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa are determined to hold on to Rogers and are reluctant to sanction a sale.

If Chelsea were to push forward with a move for Rogers, it would indicate significant backing for Maresca, even amid doubts over his long-term position at the club.
