Reece James reacts to Enzo Fernandez’s message amid Chelsea exit claim

Enzo Fernandez shared an emotional message while on international duty, brushing off speculation about his Chelsea future.

Argentina cruised to a dominant 4-1 victory over rivals Brazil on 26 March in their latest World Cup qualifier, putting in a statement performance.

Fernandez was among the scorers, doubling Argentina’s lead after former Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez opened the scoring.

Cristian Romero’s costly mistake allowed Matheus Cunha to pull one back for Brazil, but Alexis Mac Allister and Giuliano Simeone sealed the win with two more goals.

Despite Chelsea’s struggles this season, Fernandez has been one of their standout players, attracting attention from Europe’s elite.

Football Insider revealed that Real Madrid are plotting a move for Fernandez, with Chelsea potentially open to selling him this summer.

However, he appears fully focused on his football for now, paying little attention to the speculation surrounding his future.

Enzo Fernandez delivers for Enzo Maresca amid Chelsea sack threat

The 24-year-old took to Instagram after Argentina’s emphatic win, sharing an emotional message with fans. He said: ” A dream night in the staff but mainly in the group, the goal of being in the World Cup was achieved and this group is going to keep leaving everything every time we play.

“Always grateful to the people for how they encourage us and happy to live a night that will stay forever, to follow for what comes, let’s go band!! Let’s go Argentina!! Always together!!”

The post received plenty of reactions from both international and club teammates, with Pedro Neto and Marc Guiu leaving emojis in the comments whilst Mac Allister and Reece James were among those that liked the post.

Fernandez has impressed Chelsea fans this season despite an inconsistent season for the side.

With five goals and nine assists in 35 appearances, he has stepped up as a key figure in the squad. His growing leadership role within the team only highlights how much of a loss it would be if Chelsea were to sanction a move to Real Madrid.

Enzo Maresca is under mounting pressure with Champions League qualification in jeopardy, but Fernandez’s form could help ease some of that burden.

Reece James shines for England ahead of Chelsea return

Another Chelsea star impressed during the international break, as James delivered a standout performance for England under former Blues manager Thomas Tuchel.

James scored a stunning free-kick and was given the nod over Kyle Walker in England’s win against Latvia.

Both he and Fernandez will now return to Chelsea, where they have a few more days to prepare for a crucial London derby against Tottenham on 3 April.
