Reece James reacts to Jadon Sancho’s Chelsea message after fans destroy him
Jadon Sancho played an influential role in Chelsea’s Conference League victory over Legia Warsaw in the quarter-finals with two assists.
Chelsea took a major step towards the semi-finals with a commanding 3-0 win in the first leg against the Polish side.
Teenager Tyrique George gave the Blues the lead with his first senior goal for the club, a moment that capped off a memorable night for the 19-year-old.
Sancho played a key part in the performance, providing both assists for Noni Madueke’s brace, which gave the Blues a comfortable cushion heading into the return leg at Stamford Bridge.
It’s been an up-and-down spell for the Manchester United loanee, with some Chelsea fans suggesting Sancho’s loan deal should be terminated due to inconsistent form in recent months.
However, this display showed a glimpse of the quality and creativity he can bring, and he followed it up with a message to supporters after the final whistle, a sign he’s still fully focused on making an impact.
Jadon Sancho impresses against Legia amid Chelsea exit rumours
The winger posted on Instagram after the win with a message that read: “Top performance away from home, all to play for at the Bridge!” – paired with two ‘A’ emojis to highlight his two assists on the night.
His post was met with support from teammates, with Reece James and Christopher Nkunku liking the message, while goalscorer Madueke replied in the comments: “Warmest!”
Sancho made a bright start to life at Chelsea, registering several assists in his first few appearances. It was a run of form that initially delighted supporters and hinted at a promising loan spell.
However, things have since turned sour. The 24-year-old has only scored two goals all season, with his last strike coming back in December.
Football Insider recently revealed that Chelsea are considering parting ways with Sancho after triggering the loan obligation in his contract. Reports suggest the club may even explore the option of reversing the obligation by negotiating a separate fee with Manchester United.
His two assists against Legia were his first goal contributions since January, but Enzo Maresca will be hoping Sancho can carry that momentum into the remainder of the season.

Chelsea consider Alejandro Garnacho as Jadon Sancho replacement
The Blues are expected to target a new winger this summer, with Mykhailo Mudryk’s future uncertain and Sancho’s inconsistent form raising doubts over a permanent move.
Chelsea were heavily linked with Alejandro Garnacho during the January window, following a fallout between the Argentine winger and Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.
Garnacho would offer a younger, more dynamic option on the flanks, with greater attacking output than Sancho has delivered this season. However, if the Englishman continues to step up in key games, he could yet change the club’s thinking ahead of the summer.
