Reece James reacts to Nkunku’s passionate Chelsea message amid exit whispers
Christopher Nkunku had a message for the Chelsea fans despite constant rumours surrounding his exit from the club.
Chelsea ended their season in the best possible way as not only did they secure Champions League qualification, but they also lifted the Conference League trophy, beating Real Betis to deliver silverware in Enzo Maresca’s first season in charge.
Nkunku didn’t feature in the final but was instrumental earlier in the competition, scoring five goals and registering three assists throughout the campaign.
Despite his European contributions, he has found it difficult to cement a regular place in the Premier League side, starting just nine matches in the league all season.
That limited game time has fuelled speculation about his future. Football Insider recently revealed that Newcastle have joined the race to sign the Nkunku ahead of a potential summer move.
Still, regardless of the uncertainty, Nkunku had a message for Chelsea supporters following the club’s trophy success.

Chelsea prepare for Christopher Nkunku interest amid summer uncertainty
Despite growing speculation surrounding his future, Nkunku appeared in high spirits after Chelsea’s Conference League triumph, sharing a celebratory message on social media: “One more trophy in the bag.”
The post was met with widespread support from his teammates. Malo Gusto responded with a hearts emoji, while Tosin Adarabioyo added a star emoji. Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana, and club captain Reece James were also among those who liked the post.
However, the positive atmosphere within the squad hasn’t quelled transfer rumours. Football Insider reported that Nkunku is eyeing an exit from Chelsea this summer, frustrated by a lack of regular minutes since joining, making only nine Premier League starts this season.
Whilst Newcastle are among the clubs interested in the French international, they’re not alone. Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation, and Manchester United held talks over Nkunku in January, and could yet return to the table.
Chelsea edge closer to Liam Delap signing as striker plans take shape

With Nkunku looking likely to leave the side this summer, the Blues are already closing in on their striker signing.
Chelsea fans have urged the club to sign Liam Delap after reports suggested that the Englishman will choose the Blues over other options, including Man United, Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest.
Delap has impressed this season with 12 goals and is believed to be keen on the prospect of leading the line at Stamford Bridge. With the Blues actively planning their summer rebuild, he could become one of the first names through the door, especially if Nkunku departs.
