Phil Hay, chief sports writer on the Yorkshire Evening Post delivered the news via his official Twitter account and added that Pearce had been offered a three-year deal on an increased wage – news that will undoubtedly bring a huge smile to the faces of the Whites supporters.

Fans have been clamouring for the club to table a contract offer to the 20-year-old left-back since he emerged into the senior side this season after his debut against Sheffield Wednesday in March.
Football Insider verdict:
As long as Pearce signs the offer, this is very good news for the Whites. The 20-year-old has been highly impressive in the full-back slot since his emergence from the U23s and is another show of the good work that is being produced at youth level within the Yorkshire club. Pearce, Bailey Peacock-Farrell, and Paudie O’Connor have all made the step up now from the U23s setup in a machine that is clearly going to be used frequently as they bid to go for the Premier League. 20-year-old Pearce’s contract is up now which means he is free to look elsewhere, so while the fact that an offer has been made is great news, it is also nail-biting stuff for supporters who are playing the waiting game as they wait to see what the full-back’s decision will be. He only made five appearances for the Whites this season, scoring one goal in that time, but with three years the offer on the table to him, it is clear he is well-thought of at Elland Road.
