Reliable journalist: Senior West Ham quartet set to return against Watford

By Will Butcher

Slaven Bilic is set to welcome back four of his senior West Ham stars against Watford on Saturday, according to a reliable journalist.

The Hammers have struggled with injuries throughout the entire campaign, proving to be a major factor in their dismal start to the 2016-17 campaign.

However, freelance injury specialist Ben Dinnery revealed on his personal Twitter account that Aaron Cresswell, Arthur Masuaku, Andre Ayew and Alvaro Arbeloa could all feature against Watford.

Versatile forward Ayew is yet to feature for the Hammers since January 2 as he jetted off to Gabon to represent Ghana, but could now return to Bilic’s side.

Summer signing Masuaku has been sidelined with a knee injury but could also feature against Watford after taking part in the east London side’s warm-weather training camp in Dubai.

Similarly, full-backs Cresswell and Arbeloa have trained in Dubai and are believed to be available for selection against the Hornets on Saturday.

Former Real Madrid defender Arbeloa has been sidelined with a calf injury since December, making just four appearances in claret and blue since his move to the London Stadium.

However, the veteran defender could now return while England international Cresswell is expected to line up on the left side of the defence.

A win for the Hammers against Walter Mazzarri’s side at Vicarage Road could see them leapfrog Stoke City into ninth place, if the Potters drop points against Tottenham.

In other West Ham news, two changes are expected to be made to Bilic’s side to face Watford.
