Reliable journalist: Leeds senior player ruled out of clash v Bristol City

By Danny Wright

Leeds United will be without the services of Stuart Dallas against Bristol City on Saturday, according to a reliable journalist.

Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay claimed on his personal Twitter account that Dallas, 26, has been ruled out of the Whites’ visit to Ashton Gate after suffering a bereavement and as a result has returned home to Northern Ireland.

Thomas Christiansen confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Friday that Caleb Ekuban would be the only player missing for his side’s visit to Bristol this weekend, but it now seems that he has suffered a late blow in selecting his team with Dallas sadly being handed some bad news.

The senior player has been in decent form for Leeds this season, making 14 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and supplying one assist.

The ex-Brentford winger has been used more of an impact sub by Christiansen, having only started once in the Championship, but when appearing off the bench he has still been able to put in some solid displays.

Leeds are currently sixth in the league table and know that a win against Bristol City will not only end a three-game losing streak, it could also see them leapfrog the Robins up to fourth in second-tier standings.

Lee Johnson’s side have not lost since the opening day of the campaign and will no doubt prove to be tough opposition for the Yorkshire giants on Saturday afternoon.

In other Leeds United news, Liam Cooper has made a blunt admission about the atmosphere at the Whites’ training ground.
