Rennes submit offer for Leeds star Glen Kamara – sources

Rennes have offered a contract proposal to Leeds United midfielder Glen Kamara, sources have told Football Insider.

The 28-year-old’s future is up in the air after Leeds failed to gain promotion to the Premier League last season following their play-off final defeat to Southampton.

Rennes have publicly confirmed their interest in the Finland international, making it clear they are open to signing him this summer.

According to sources, it is believed that talks have taken place with the player’s camp and the transfer is gathering momentum

The Championship club are willing to sell Kamra, but it would need to be at the a “significant” price.

The midfielder is under contract at Elland Road until 2027 after joining last summer from Rangers.

Rennes exploting Leeds situation to land Glen Kamara

Kamara was a regular in Daniel Farke’s team last season, playing 42 games in all competitions throughout his first campaign with the Whites.

However, he also offers European experience after playing 32 times in the Europa League throughout his time with Rangers.

Kamara is also a versatile midfielder who can play as a box-to-box midfielder, or as a more defensive-minded player.
