Report: Dramatic twist in £10.4m Everton striker deal after talks held
By Amir Mir
Everton have suffered a major blow as a £10.4million deal for Standard Liege striker Ishak Belfodi could be off, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claim in their transfer blog on Monday evening (6.04pm )that the player’s management want to call off the deal because “another agent Christophe Henrotay became involved”.
This means the deal to sign the 25-year-old would have taken a dramatic twist as the Toffees were due to sign the Algerian last week.
It is said his representative Mohamed Al Faiech held talks with the club’s director of football Steve Walsh.
Ronald Koeman’s side have been busy during this transfer window making two notable signings.

Charlton teenager Ademola Lookman signed for £11million and Manchester United anchor-man Morgan Schneiderlin was purchased for £24million.
Football Insider verdict:
Ishak Belfodi is an unknown player in England so failing to get the deal over the line shouldn’t be too much of a body blow for the club. Their two main signings thus far have been striker Ademola Lookmann and defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin. These are the signings Everton need to get over the line, in particular, Scneiderlin as he has a wealth of Premier League experience. Additionally, as long as the Merseyside club continue to add quality to their squad during the January transfer window, they shouldn’t be too fussed about missing out on these sorts of deals. However, if you are Steve Walsh and you have been scouting these types of players for some while then you would be annoyed if the deal does not go through.
In other Everton transfer news, this report states that the Toffees are to open talks with this defender.
